If your child requires regular medication, it should, wherever possible, be administered at home. However, if your child needs this medication during the school day, it must be handed in to the school office as soon as your child arrives in school, together with written details of the dose, frequency and any other relevant information. All medication, including over the counter pain-killers, must be in the original packaging and include the safety information insert. Medicine containing aspirin is not suitable for under 16s and the school cannot accept this medication unless prescribed by a doctor.
If your child suffers from asthma and needs to carry an inhaler, please tell us in the Medical section above.
If your child has an Epipen or diabetic syringe, these should be brought into school in a clearly named lidded plastic box for secure storage in the school office.
Please phone the Admin Office if you have any queries.
