The KS3 Curriculum
Our Key Stage 3 curriculum is spiral and sequential in nature, designed to build on fundamental skills and knowledge. Students learn a range of skills and concepts that progress in difficulty as they move through the key stage. Students start by gaining an understanding of the core components of fitness, alongside developing technical and tactical physical skills. In Years 8 and 9, students can then apply these fundamental skills to more challenging situations, both in skill isolation and the competitive environments. During Key Stage 3, the importance of fitness, physical health and well-being is a focus of our curriculum, we want our students to enjoy a healthy and active lifestyle which is carried through Key Stages 4, 5 and beyond.
