The KS4 Curriculum
Students at Monk’s Walk School will follow OCR Computer Science GCSE specification, sitting two exams on Computer Systems and Computational Logic.
Students have 5 lessons a fortnight and our department have two Computer Science teachers each who teach their specialism and share a teaching group each. Throughout their GCSE Computer Science experience, students will get the opportunity to engage in the curriculum by giving students a real, in-depth understanding of how Computer technology works, both theoretical and practical. Students are also given the opportunity to use a programming language that allows them to develop their critical analysis and problem-solving skills.
