The Creative and Digital Media Department aims to equip students to with a variety of digital skills in a practical and relevant way. We will provide opportunities to develop, in context, transferable skills such as researching, planning, and reviewing. Students will develop practical skills using industry standard software and encouraged to think creatively and work independently. Through the use of these skills, learners will learn how to create fit-for-purpose creative media products for our modern digital world.

What is it like to study Creative and Digital Media at Monk's Walk School?
In Creative and Digital Media you will learn about graphics, animation, video and audio, interactive multimedia and more. You will also learn about the media industry from TV and film to radio and social media. There is no other course you will study that will be as relevant to the modern age.
How is Creative and Digital Media assessed?
At KS4, the course is assessed at the end of the qualification and is equivalent to GCSE grading. All colleges and universities accept this qualification and grading. Grades are based on assessment across all three units. You will be awarded a grade from Pass at Level 1 through to Distinction* at level 2.
At KS5, assessment is across the whole course with 50% of the course completed each year. 50% of the marks are based on internal assessed and externally moderated coursework. 50% of the marks are based on two external examinations. Grades awarded at P,M,D,D* which is directly equivalent to E, C, A and A* at A Level.
